Andrew Siclari

After beginning his career in public accounting, Andrew went on to work at Automatic Data Processing (ADP) where he led a burgeoning finance function supporting client investment portfolios with the Corporate Treasury team.

 

Andrew then spent over 10 years with Gulf & Western / Viacom, in financial leadership roles, primarily supporting Simon & Schuster and their other aspiring media divisions, successfully leading business process improvement initiatives that yielded significant efficiencies and cost savings to assure operations were equipped for growth.

 

He went on to join Pearson, upon the sale of the educational assets from Viacom, where he spent over 20 years; initially establishing industry-leading global shared service capabilities that leveraged best-practices across finance, accounting, procurement, customer service, fulfillment & distribution, and supply chain operations.   

 

As the Pearson expanded to become the world’s leading learning company, he led numerous Mergers & Acquisitions and the associated business modeling, planning, and ultimately business integration or decoupling to assimilate or successfully carve-out a targeted entity.

 

Andrew later served as Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer for North America with responsibility for business units, including Higher Education, K12, Assessments, Online Program Management, and Virtual Schools. He then transitioned to the Chief Business Officer role where he led go-to-market strategies and commercial activities, such as Deal Desk, Pricing, and Sales Enablement, to accelerate the prolonged digital transformation.

 

Subsequently, Andrew joined the University of Massachusetts as Chief Financial & Operations Advisor driving online strategies to elevate the student experience by closely collaborating with campus leaders to promote partnerships and employer-sponsored opportunities for graduates. He was part of a small team that led the acquisition and rebranding of UMass Global, which is dedicated to adult online education and expanding nationally.

 

Since establishing Pivotal Advisors, he is currently dedicated to helping clients transform business models, address complex financial & operational challenges, and to creating valuable and durable customer and supply chain eco-systems.


He is CPA-qualified, with an MBA from Seton Hall University and a BS from Saint Francis University. 

Denise Duval

Denise served as Vice President Finance at Pearson, one of the world’s leading learning companies, most recently specializing in large scale finance and operations transformation projects. She is recognized for delivering process improvements from ERP implementations and restructuring  resource and supplier models including cost savings from mergers, acquisitions, and demergers.   


An accomplished business partner, excels at supporting clients to achieve strategic objectives to grow revenues, enhance productivity, optimize operations, and improve profitability across finance and operations functions through transition and transformation driven by internal initiatives, external partnerships, or M&A transactions.


Denise has proven expertise in all aspects of M&A from due diligence through negotiations leading to transaction close, as well as managing global/virtual teams through transition, integration or carve-out.


In prior roles, she led commercial and financial support for global operations, including IT, HR, Customer Service, Logistics, Legal, and Real Estate / Property Management. She oversaw supplier evaluation, negotiations, budgets, and financial reporting, as well as software compliance, and investment evaluation.


Throughout her career she has led global teams to establish shared services, optimize resource models and transform processes underpinned by KPI's which provided measurable and actionable results using Executive Dashboards to substantiate and accelerate data-based decision-making. 

Denise holds a BS in Business-Accounting & Finance from Eastern Connecticut State University.
